Nokia has launched its new 5G phone in the Indian market, expanding the G series in the country. Nokia is not a major player in the smartphone arena, but the company makes devices that are attractive in design, durable and offer a quality Android experience. The Nokia G42 5G is powered by a Qualcomm chipset and has an IP rating. The new Nokia phone competes with Redmi 12 5G, Realme 11 series and few other brands in the market.

It runs stock Android 13 with no bloatware and ads, which is common in this price range. Nokia promises two operating system updates and three years of security updates for the device. The phone has a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front of the phone has an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera for selfies and video calls. Nokia has packed the device with a 5000mAh battery that supports 20W charging speed via QC 3.0 and PD 3.0 standards.
